As far as I remember from the commercial course, we cannot advertise for hire. Holding out / common carriage (there's an AC on this) comes into play I think. I was told that someone has to ask you if you are a pilot, and you cannot go around telling people you are a commercial pilot for hire.
Is it against any regulation to post flyers (physical and on craigslist), offering a service as a comm pilot - and then follow through with such services?
